Puppy Power 5k Update
Hello,
We cannot begin to express our gratitude for the overwhelming support we have received over the years for the Puppy Power 5k. Together, our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and team have provided a voice to destitute animals, advocating for change in the atrocities that are oftentimes their realities. Over the course of our race, we have managed to raise $12,000 for various local organizations, such as PawsCo and the Dumb Friends League.
After five years of managing the Puppy Power 5k, our team has decided to take the race in a new direction. We are eager to see what a difference we can make with our new organization, Heroes for Hope, utilizing our experiences and skills attained through our aforementioned race.
Heroes for Hope is a Colorado-based organization that benefits Children’s Hospital Colorado. Our team, primarily consisting of high schoolers (many of whom were on the Puppy Power team), works with founding members at Children’s to maintain a relationship between our organization and its beneficiary.
Our first annual walk was scheduled to be in August of this year; however, on account of COVID-19, we have had to alter our plans. In lieu of a walk, we will be hosting a week-long virtual event to raise money for Children’s Hospital CO. Each day will have its own theme with challenges, live videos, prizes, and other ways to get involved.
Please join us for our virtual event from July 27th through August 1st. More information can be found at heroesforhopeco.org, or on our social media pages @heroesforhope.co.
Once again, we’d like to thank you for your lasting support. The furtherance of our race has been incredible to witness and to partake in, and we are grateful to each and every one of you who has made it possible.
We hope to see your participation!
Best Regards,
The Heroes for Hope Team
